Ailie Robertson

A Llandudno Portrait

Composer Ailie Robertson used her residency to create a site-specific musical composition. The composition will capture the spirit of Llandudno, be inspired by characters and histories from the town and will involve local people in developing musical works based on sounds, conversations, archive material and anecdotes.

Ailie spent time collecting stories and songs from community members to inspire the work, reflecting on the things that are important to them. She engaged with people from all sectors of the community, young and old, to create a multifaceted portrait of Llandudno.

Music brings people together and connects communities. We think there are a significant number of people in Llandudno with an incredible amount of musical talent. This is a project designed to bring all of that talent together and to share it with the entire community. It’s a chance to share our love and passion for music with our friends, neighbours, people we work with and other community members.

Join us for a lovely afternoon of music, community and afternoon tea.
