During February as part of an artist’s residency with CALL (Culture Action Llandudno) Lizzie Hughes and Lisa Carter talked to almost 300 people in Llandudno who enjoy making things. They were welcomed into clubs and classes and even people’s homes and were delighted to discover that the town is full of people who enjoy working with wood, metal, fabric and yarn to make creations of their own invention.

In response to the conversations a poster has been produced that features a print by Lizzie on one side and on the other information about many of the creative individuals and groups who meet regularly in the town. We hope it will help more people make the leap from thinking to doing.

We are delighted to invite you, friends, family and any members of your organisation to the launch of ‘This is What Llandudno Does’ on Saturday 10 March from 12.30pm to 2.30 pm at 10 Vaughan Street, Llandudno LL30 1AB, next door to the Mostyn Gallery.

There will be afternoon tea and posters to take away.

We hope that this event will give many of Llandudno’s crafts people an opportunity to meet each other for the first time. If you would like to take the opportunity to bring something you have made to show other like-minded people please do! There will be plenty of space and clean tables to display quilts, trains, bowls and boats and anything else you care to bring.
We look forward to meeting you.
